We need your prayer PDF

As we step into this ministry with AIA, we have started to feel an intense struggle with the enemy.  We have started to feel attacked in ways we can not describe but we need your prayer of protection around our family.

We are also feeling God calling us to start a prayer ministry with a small group of people in out neighborhood.  Please pray that God would orchestrate this movement and that His name would be glorified in our meetings.

Departing Soon PDF

We are only 70 hours from departure to start our trip to North Africa.  Please continue to pray for the rest of our equipment to come in and that the logistics of getting the equipment overseas would be smooth.  Any time Christians are involved in the Lords work it is prime time for spiritual battles to take place.  Please join with me and pray for our team of 17 to have the shield of faith ready to deflect the arrows of the evil one.  We could not take this trip with out your prayers and support and for that we are extremely grateful.  Please also pray for God to use us in loving and encouraging our staff in Africa along with those we are going to serve.  One update is that the number of people has grown from 60-85 coaches and 100 athletes to over 110 coaches and around 250 athletes.  Praise God for the response we are getting to this trip.

I will be leaving for a mission trip to North Africa on December 2nd and returning on the 13th.  Please pray for God to do an amazing work with our team and those we will be impacting.  We are going to be holding clinics for 60-85 coaches and over 100 high school athletes.  We will be teaching Basketball clinics, Soccer clinics, and Strength and Conditioning clinics.  Pray also for my health as I travel overseas that my blood sugar will stay regulated and that I will not get sick from the different foods.

I just heard the news that one of our brothers in Christ was called home to be with the Lord.  John Webber, who was the Dallas Cowboys long time Chaplin, died Thursday of a heart attack while swimming at a local YMCA.  John just celebrated 36 years on staff with Athletes in Action and has been a pioneer in our Pro-ministry.

John is survived by his wife Carole and five children - four daughters (Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth and Rebekah) and one son, Tim.

John was born on a farm in South Dakota and was very active in wrestling and football through his college days at Dakota Wesleyan University.  He later became a graduate assistant for the wrestling team at Florida State University, where he also taught in the physical education department.  He graduated from Dallas Seminary in 1980 and soon after began working with the Dallas Cowboys when Tom Landry was still the head coach.

Please pray for his family who will miss such a Faithful man of God.  He was the modern day Barnabas who encouraged me every time we met together.  I am so thankful for the opportunity to get to know John and I am sad to see him leave this earth at such a young age but I know that he is now in the presence of the Lord Almighty and that his life has been completed by our Creator.

Praise the Lord for allowing us to serve him and for our partners who are being used by God to help us serve him.  We now only have to raise $5900 for our summer expenses and after that we will be moving to Ohio.  Thank you for your prayers and support because we could not do this alone.
